My Life In Concert.com Is Now Back as a Podcast!
After largely retiring my blog following the closure of its previous main home—the late, great OpenSalon.com—the My Life in Concert Series now returns as a Podcast.
Listen in and join me as I look back on (almost) every live show I’ve seen from 1975 to the Present.
I will be time traveling back mostly in sequence, and will be embedding podcast episodes here.
To kick off the series, I’ll be talking about one concert from each of my gig-going decades (70s-10s):
EP 1. Ticket to Ride: An Introduction
EP 2. (concert no. 001) The Thrill of It All: Roxy Music, London Arena, London, Ontario, Canada, February 8, 1975
EP 3. (no. 007) Here Today, Gone Tomorrow: The Ramones with The Demics, Centennial Hall, London, Ontario, Canada, Tuesday May 20, 1980
EP 4. (no. 076) Lollapalooza ’92: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Lush, Molson Park, Barrie, Wednesday August 5, 1992
EP 5. (no. 104) David Bowie with The Polyphonic Spree, Corel Centre, Ottawa, Ontario, Friday April 2, 2004
EP 6. (no. 175) I’m Your Man: Leonard Cohen, Friday December 7, 2012, Scotiabank Place, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Hey there:
My name is Al Gomes and I attended the Heatwave Festival in August 1980. I really loved your podcast episode on the event. Great job!
I fulfilled my dream of being in the music business, just to give you background on myself – http://www.algomes.com
I had a similar experience at Heatwave after the concert was over, and would love to talk to you about it over the phone. Would you be up for that? If so, send me an email.
Let me know.
All the best,
Al Gomes
